PIIC Holds First DOST Project Proposal Workshop at UP EEEI

The Philippine Institute for Integrated Circuits (PIIC) conducted a 1-day workshop entitled, “DOST Project Proposal Workshop” at UP Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute last July 8. This was attended by 15 faculty members from PIIC’s partner universities namely Mariano Marcos State University, Batangas State University, Holy Angel University, Technological University of the Philippines-Manila and Notre Dame of Midsayap College. There were also faculty members from UP EEEI.

The said workshop was facilitated by Engr. Ermie Bacarra, Human Resources and Institution Development Division (HRIDD) Chief. In the morning session, Engr. Bacarra oriented the participants on how to write a project proposal for submission to DOST-PCIEERD. The afternoon session was composed of two parts, the first part was focused on brainstorming on the research topic while second part was about adding more detail on the project.

The goal of this activity was to enable PIIC partner institutions across the country to submit their own proposals especially those who already have good ideas for research. At the end of the workshop, the participants submitted their own project proposals which will be critiqued by Engr. Bacarra’s team.
